Aaxa L1v2 Second Generation Laser Pico Projector

Aaxa L1v2 Second Generation Laser Pico Projector

The Aaxa Technologies L1v2 is the updated version of their L1, Laser Pico Projector, and the only second generation laser powered projector on the market. The thermal efficiency of the PCOS laser light engine has been increased to produce images with better color saturation. It utilizes a unique three color laser light source that changes rapidly in projection size on flat or curved surfaces with focus free operation for angled projections from near and far distances. It is slightly larger than the first generation Aaxa Tech L1, but is still roughly the size of an iPhone, and offers 800×600 resolution at 20 lumens.

The L1v2 has a USB port for you to plug in a flash drive so that you don’t need to bring your laptop to show a presentation or watch a movie. The accessories included with the projector are: 2GB USB memory stick, AC adapter, A/V cable, VGA cable and tripod clip. It has a built in mono speaker and stereo/headphone mini-jack to make for an all inclusive presentation machine. It is a highly portable pocket projector that weigh’s only 170g and only consumes roughly 7.5W of power. Supported formats for video output include: AVI, MPEG, WMV, ASF, MPG. Document support includes: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF Image: JPEG, GIF, BMP, PNG. Music support includes: MP3, MP2, OGG, WAV. The L1v2 also has an internal storage capable of saving files up to 160MB and life span of battery that would reach up to 1.5 hours.

The best part about the Aaxa tech L1v2 is that it offers a great amount of features for a cheap price. The L1, first generation, was nearly double the price and not nearly as good. The bad thing about the L1v2 is that, because of the small company size of Aaxa, the stock is extremely low- It’s very hard to get your hands on one. The company doesn’t have the kind of capital on hand to keep up with demand.

The Light Engine employs 10,000 hour laser-diodes that consume less power. The lasers are also 100% free of mercury and no bulbs for a need to replace. The new type of LCOS (liquid-crystal-on-silicon) technology based projectors fall into two classes of eye-safety, where class-1 will limit projectors to 20 lumens and class-2 will have the ability to reach several hundred lumens so it optimizes the laser and the heat dissipated from it making it much safer to watch. A super portable projector and travel friendly that you can bring anywhere.
